Which is right for you?
At Envision Aesthetics, we offer numerous aesthetic treatments that treat a wide range of skin concerns, from wrinkles to enlarged pores. Many of these procedures treat the same or similar issues, but vary in method, technology, recovery time, and more.
When it comes to knowing which aesthetic procedure is right for you, the experienced team at Envision Aesthetics has the training and knowledge to help you weigh your options to determine what will best meet your unique goals.
Lasers can help on a variety of levels to resurface the skin by repairing damage caused by the sun, aging, or scars. RF microneedling treatments offer similar resurfacing results, with less downtime that may make it a better option for some patients.

How do laser treatments work?
At Envision Aesthetics, we offer three types of light-based treatments to clients who want to fight the signs of aging & sun damage, minimize the appearance of wrinkles & fine lines, fade scars, even complexion, and more.
Halo®
The Halo laser by Sciton is the first hybrid fractional laser in the world. It uses two wavelengths to repair skin damage deep below the skin’s surface, leaving the top layer largely intact, helping to keep recovery time to a minimum.
Halo gently heats deep layers in the skin to stimulate collagen production, which can give you an all-over rejuvenated appearance. With Halo treatments, most patients require 3 to 4 days of social downtime to allow redness to subside and the skin to peel and flake.
MicroLaserPeel®
Sciton’s MicroLaserPeel treats skin damage by using a focused light beam to remove a thin layer of skin – triggering the body’s powerful healing abilities which allow new, healthy cells to come forward and thrive.
If you feel like you constantly look tired, dull, or aged, a MicroLaserPeel may be the treatment you need to get your vibrant skin back. After a MicroLaserPeel, you should plan on taking 3 to 4 days off work to fully heal.
Broadband Light (BBL)
Though not technically a laser, broadband light, also known as BBL, uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to fight the signs of aging, acne, redness, age spots and discoloration, and more.
We offer Forever Young BBL™ and Forever Clear BBL™ treatments to focus wavelengths of light on the face, neck, chest, or the back of the hands. There is no required downtime following a BBL treatment, though you may experience some redness, with skin flaking off over the next two weeks.
How does INTRAcel RF microneedling in Rochester work?
You may already be familiar with traditional microneedling, which utilizes a handpiece with dozens of tiny needles on it to “stamp” the skin. This creates tiny micro-channels in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing response and collagen production.
Microneedling is considered one of the simplest, most noninvasive ways to resurface skin and improve skin pigmentation, enlarged pores, loss of elasticity, fine lines, and scars. There is no required downtime, and you are free to continue your daily routine after you leave our Rochester office.
At Envision Aesthetics, we take microneedling one step further with our INTRAcel device, providing RF microneedling in Rochester.
Traditional microneedling vs. INTRAcel RF microneedling
Both traditional microneedling and RF microneedling with INTRAcel create controlled micro-wounds under the skin’s surface, offering solutions for sun damage, acne scars, wrinkles, and aging skin.
RF microneedling, however, adds the element of fractional radiofrequency technology emitted from the tip of the microneedles to deliver thermal energy beneath the skin’s surface to deliver better lifting and tightening results.
The heat delivered by the needles jumpstarts your body’s production of collagen and elastin, leading to smaller pores, firmer skin, and minimized lines and scars.

Is a laser treatment or RF microneedling right for me?
When you come to Envision Aesthetics for your free 1 hour consultation, we will take the following factors into account when determining if we recommend a laser treatment or a series of RF microneedling treatments:
• Your skin type
• Your skin goals
• The extent of skin damage
• The amount of time you have available for recovery
If you are looking to generally take better care of your skin and address mild to moderate sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, or enlarged pores, RF microneedling in Rochester might be perfect for you! Plus, we can perform RF microneedling all year round, whereas it’s best to only have laser treatments in the winter months, when you can be completely shielded from the sun.
Additionally, RF microneedling requires zero downtime, compared with up to 4 days of downtime and time off work that you may not be able to accommodate with laser treatments.
It does not have to be one or the other, however. Regular laser treatments and RF microneedling in Rochester at Envision Aesthetics can be combined (at different times, of course) as part of a healthy skincare routine to completely address your concerns and give you glowing skin.
